About Us

 

Partners Bernice Zubrzycki and Joe Zubrzycki have a long tradition in the Polish restaurant business.

Their first restaurant experiences were helping out in their parent's Polish restaurant when Bernice was 10 and Joe was 12. Having arrived in American from their native Poland only seven years earlier, the Zubrzycki family began an expansive journey, creating Warsaw Inn in Calumet Park, moving it to Chicago, and opening another in Rockford... with Bernice and Joe finally setting up in McHenry in 1982. Other siblings opened restaurants in Lynwood, Illinois, and Cortez, Colorado.

Warsaw Inn offers delicious buffets in the traditions of hearty Polish and American cooking. Whether you're hungry for Old World specialties, such as pierogi, blintzes and potato pancakes, or American selections such as fried chicken or sliced beef and gravy, we have something for everyone!
